Louis Sterling is an award-winning composer, sound engineer and producer based between Bath and London, UK.

A member of both the British Music Collection and the Black Artists Database, Sterling embarked on his diverse career in Music at the age of 16. Upon leaving school, his music quickly gained substantial recognition and support from BBC Music and the North American record label, URBNET. In 2018, his debut album served as the inaugural release for 99Chants– a Berlin-based record label spearheaded by notable composer David August.

The album, Adisceda, was deemed by music giant Rough Trade Records as 'Outstanding,' while Headphone Commute described it as a 'modern-classical meets electronic marvel'. The album was mastered in New York by Rafael Anton Irisarri, before making it’s way into vinyl collections across the UK, US and Europe. Eventually, it caught the attention of Gigi Masin, who invited Louis to open for his 'Vahiné' album tour on stages across the UK in March 2023.

Now at the age of 26 years old, Sterling’s contributions to music were recognised through accolades such as the 2020 composers' award from Sound and Music UK. His performances at Omeara on London Bridge and Liverpool Philharmonic solidified his position as a respected artist in electronic music.

However, beyond the facets of music, Sterling's efforts extend beyond composition. He has assisted production for Channel 4 Television, curated radio shows, including BBC Radio 1’s Breakfast Show with Greg James, and supported Warner Bros. De Lane Lea Studios, marking his robust network in the creative industry.

But regardless of the brand, authenticity remains an integral part of his work. As he continues to release and perform his music for his dedicated listeners– he opens his personal story and channel as a space to inspire the next generation, cultivate community and nurture partnerships in light of supporting mental health, diversity and inclusion initiatives across the UK.
